Scoring System   -   Adult

The Run Quebec City ranking system grants points to the first 20 men and first 20 women on the overall ranking. The same points are given to participants in the 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 or more categories.

Points are increased by 2 factors:
    • the difficulty linked to the kilometers ran;
    • the performance linked to the finish time of each distance race winners.
 

The Difficulty Factor

The difficulty factor aims to give more points for more kilometers. Consequently, its take the distance ran into account.

The Performance Factor

Performance factor aims to take partiipants into account for each distance race. Therefore, to give more points to those who take part in a distance race in which we find very good runners compared to races with no such runners.

This performance factor is a percentage established between reference times* and each distance finishing time. This factor is then applied to every runners of each distance race.

* The reference times used are the world records for each distance race (ref.: www.iaaf.org)..
